 Indian Navy SSC Executive IT Recruitment 2024: Eligibility, Salary, and How to Apply

The Indian Navy has released a notification for the recruitment of 35 SSC Executive Officer (IT) [SSC X (IT)] officers for the January 2024 course. The online application process will begin on August 4, 2023, and the last date to apply is August 20, 2023.


Important Dates:

* Opening of online application: August 4, 2023

* Closing of online application: August 20, 2023

* Online Written Examination: Tentative date: November 2023

* PFT/ME/PI: Tentative date: December 2023


Eligibility:

* Candidate must be born between January 2, 1999 and July 1, 2004.

* Minimum of 60% marks in English in class X or XII.

* M.Sc./ B.E./ B. Tech./ M. Tech. in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Systems, Cyber Security, System Administration & Networking, Computer Systems & Networking, Data Analytics, or Artificial Intelligence with minimum 60% overall qualifying marks.

* Relaxation in educational qualification and age is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per the Indian Navy rules.


Pay Scale:

* Pay Level-10 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix ₹56100-11070 with MSP and other allowances.


Selection Process:

The selection process will consist of the following stages:


* Online Written Examination

* Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

* Medical Examination (ME)

* Personal Interview (PI)


* Online Written Examination

The Indian Navy is conducting an online written exam for the recruitment of SSC Executive (Information Technology) officers for the January 2024 course. The exam will be held on 25 September 2023. The exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) and will consist of two sections:


* Section I: General Knowledge and Aptitude (GK&A)

* Section II: Mathematics


The GK&A section will consist of questions on general knowledge, current affairs, history, geography, science, and mathematics. The Mathematics section will consist of questions on basic mathematics, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.


The exam will be of 120 minutes duration and will be conducted in two sittings:

* Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

The Indian Navy SSC Executive (Jan 2024) recruitment PFT (Physical Fitness Test) will consist of the following events:


*Pull-ups: Candidates must do at least 10 pull-ups.
*Sit-ups: Candidates must do at least 40 sit-ups in one minute.
*Push-ups: Candidates must do at least 30 push-ups in one minute.
*1.6 km run: Candidates must complete a 1.6 km run in at most 10 minutes.

The PFT will be conducted at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates will be disqualified from the recruitment process if they fail to meet the minimum standards in any of the events.

*Blood pressure:
The blood pressure should be between 100/60 and 140/90 mmHg.
*Hemoglobin:
The minimum acceptable level of hemoglobin is 12.5 g/dl for male candidates and 11.5 g/dl for female candidates.
*Other tests:
Other tests that may be conducted include a urine test, a blood test, an ECG, and an X-ray.

Candidates who fail the medical examination will not be eligible for further selection.

The medical examination will be conducted by a team of medical officers from the Indian Navy. The results of the medical examination will be final and cannot be challenged.

The medical examination schedule will be announced in due course. Candidates will be required to report to the designated naval hospital on the specified date and time.

* Personal Interview (PI)
